Pink Roof Support, Motel Series 1983

"The Motel Series" were shot on Kodachrome 64 film, 1981-985, in Desert Hot Springs, CA, while I was working on the "California Ruins." A few have been published and exhibited. Three images, including "Orange Umbrella" are included in the 2012 J. Paul Getty Trust's exhibition "Pacific Standard Time: Art in Los Angeles, 1945-1980" in the Palm Springs Art Museum's PST exhibition "The Swimming Pool in Southern California Photography, 1945-1982." A portfolio of this series is in the permanent collection of PSAM.
